CLD’s recognitions at the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards follow its recent win of ‘Best Housing Development’, ‘Best Residential Masterplan Design’ and ‘Best Eco-Friendly Housing Development’ for Sycamore in October 2022 at the PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards 2022, where CLD also received the ‘Special Recognition for CSR’ award.
Mr Ronald Tay, CEO of CLD (Vietnam), said: “Receiving these accolades reaffirms CLD’s commitment to excellence in developing top quality properties for discerning and eco-conscious homeowners. As a responsible real estate developer, sustainability is at the core of what we do. We integrate solutions, starting as early as the design stage, to build green spaces that promote sustainable lifestyles. With a proven track record over 28 years in Vietnam, CLD remains steadfast in delivering well-designed developments that meet international standards as we strive to be the leading developer of choice.”
Sycamore – A strong focus on wellness and sustainability
Sycamore is strategically located in the fast-developing Binh Duong New City, about 30 kilometres from Ho Chi Minh City. With a total area of 18.9 hectares, the prime large-scale residential project is expected to comprise over 3,700 freehold units across a mix of low-, mid- and high-rise developments, providing quality homes for about 13,000 residents. Sycamore is slated for launch in 2Q 2023, with the first phase to be completed in 2024, while the rest of the project is scheduled for completion in 2027.
Boasting a premium, resort-style design, Sycamore comprises seven enclaves with its own private entrance. Two will offer spacious terraced houses, semi-detached houses and villas with private clubhouses and gardens. Residents who prefer high-rise properties will find themselves at home at the 24-storey towers in four of the enclaves and each will come with food & beverage and retail outlets such as convenience stores, café, restaurants and spas. The seventh enclave will feature a 10-storey apartment.

Homeowners will be drawn to Sycamore’s biophilic and sustainable features. The 10,000-sqm central park within the mid-rise development will be ideal for residents to connect or unwind. Sycamore will also be home to a plethora of green spaces, offering ample amount of shade, reducing ambient temperature and contributing to the overall wellness for residents.
Sustainable transport infrastructure will be incorporated to encourage more homeowners to lead sustainable lifestyles. Sycamore is slated to introduce Binh Duong New City’s first electric vehicle (EV)-ready development. Bicycle lanes and pedestrian-friendly pavements will also be available to encourage residents to leave their cars at home for shorter journeys. There will also be electric vehicle buggies shuttling across the two low-rise residential developments. Rainwater will be collected and recycled for irrigation of the park and other green spaces. Sycamore is expected to obtain Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies (EDGE) certification by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group.
