Ho Chi Minh City, 22 October 2022 – On 21 October, CapitaLand Development (CLD), the development arm of CapitaLand Group, won top award for best housing development in Vietnam and was recognised for its excellence in master planning, sustainability and corporate social responsibility at the prestigious PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards 2022.  CLD won the ‘Best Housing Development’ in Vietnam, ‘Best Residential Masterplan Design’ and ‘Best Eco-Friendly Housing Development’ for Sycamore, its first large-scale residential development in Vietnam.

Located in Binh Duong New City within the Binh Duong province, Sycamore has a total area of 18.9 hectares and is expected to comprise over 3,700 freehold residential units across a mix of low, mid and high-rise residential developments, providing homes for about 13,000 residents.  With a projected total gross development value of VND18,330 billion, Sycamore has a strong focus on wellness and sustainability, and is slated to introduce Binh Duong New City’s first electric vehicle (EV)-ready development as well as the city’s first gated community with a clubhouse.

CLD also received the ‘Special Recognition for CSR’ award for the third year, recognising CLD’s contributions to the community.  Through CapitaLand’s philanthropic arm, CapitaLand Hope Foundation (CHF), over VND44.8 billion have been donated to support the education and healthcare needs of vulnerable children in Vietnam since 2007.  To date, CHF has supported close to 1,400 children by improving their access to education through the four CapitaLand Primary Hope Schools and Hope Kindergartens in Phu Tho, Long An and Hung Yen province.

Sycamore – a community for wellness, sustainability and urban design

To be launched in 2Q 2023, Sycamore offers a premium, resort-style residential development for residents seeking a well-designed and secure home in the fast-developing Binh Duong New City.  Residents can choose from seven residential enclaves within the large-scale development to suit their needs.  Two are set to offer spacious terraced houses, semi-detached houses and villas with private clubhouses and gardens.  Residents who prefer high-rise residential properties will find themselves at home at the 24-storey towers in four of the enclaves and each will come with food & beverage and retail options such as convenience stores, café, restaurants and spas.  The last enclave will feature a 10-storey apartment.  Each enclave will also have its own private entrance.  The first phase of Sycamore is slated to completed in 2024, while the rest of the project is scheduled for completion in 2027.
